A redesign of my sociology senior thesis (written while studying at the University of Portland), this project consists of a photo documentation of and qualitative research on the gentrification of a Northeast Portland neighborhood. Design efforts were made to further exemplify the racial battle that gentrification often stirs, and type decisions were made in order to illustrate the tension and anxiety many people felt as the neighborhood changed.
